SOLD: AIMS AMP Capital Industrial

Sold my 20,000 shares of AIMS AMP REIT on 6th Feb at $1.33
Total loss of $1185.59 (4.3%) in 7 days.

Reasons for selling it:
US stock first dropped 1+% on 3rd Feb (SGT) and dropped another 4.6% on 6th Feb (SGT).
6th Feb is the biggest decline since August 2011, during the European debt crisis.

Seeing such a big drop within few days span, it lead me to fear that "Crash is coming".

I quickly punch into my calculator to have a feel on the price will be like if (5th Feb close pricing) $1.34 - 5% (simulate the same drop in % as the US stock market) and I got $1.27.

20,000 shares x ($1.27 - $1.38) = -$2,200

vs

20,000 shares x ($1.33 - $1.38) = -$1,000

Thus, I went to sell my AA Reit at $1.33 thinking to have a stop-loss in case it really dropped 5%.

Transferred $10,000 from CPF OA to SA for 2018

I did my first $10,000 transfer from CPF OA to SA in 2017 (See post here).

This morning, I did another transfer of $10,000 from CPF OA to SA.
Objective for the transfer still remain the same as why I did it in 2017.

As per my 2017 CPF Yearly Statement

I had also helped Miss CDxD did her first $10,000 from her CPF OA to SA last week.

As per her 2017 CPF Yearly Statement

As Miss CDxD is younger than me by 1 year old, so her additional interest earned for every $1,000 is $94 more.

That the power of compounding interest.
The earlier you start, the higher you will gain.

Car Rental: Smove vs Tribecar

Car is a liability to majority of the people as the car value get depreciated.

The best option to "own" a car is via rental.
Smove and Tribecar are 2 of the car rental company option which I used for short-term usage.

Let take a look at the Pro and Cons of these 2 companies.

Pros
Cons
Newer car (Typically less than 3 yrs old)
Min $50 per booking
Keyless. Only require Ezlink to lock/unlock car
Unable to buy additional insurance to reduce the excess
Booking fee included petrol (Unless you exceed the mileage caps which is unlikely for normal usage)
More costly than Tribecar
No payment required for petrol topup at all Esso station as every car is equip with Esso Speedpass
Smove Car Fleet: Toyota Aqua or Mitsubishi Attrage
Able to return car at diff location from your pickup location
Min age requirement is 24 years old
Rent timing in 15 mins block (eg: X:00, X:15, X:30: X:45)

You can unlock and drive the car 15mins before your booked timeslot for free

No upfront security deposit required

Pay per use

Pros
Cons
Min $2 per booking
Older car (Typically 5yrs and above for Economy category)
Ability to buy additional insurance to reduce the excess to $1,000 only
Require to use remote car key to lock/unlock car
Cheaper than Smove
Booking fee exclude petrol. Required to pump petrol for every book trip
Tribecar Car Fleet: Sedan, SUV, MPV and Vans
Unable to return car to diff location from your pickup location
Min age requirement is 22 years old
Rent timing in 60 mins block (eg: X:00)

You can unlock and drive the car 10mins before your booked timeslot for free only if the previous time slot is not been booked

$100 upfront refunable security deposit required

Require to topup cash credit into e-Wallet

If you prefer a premium economy kind of car and rental experience, I will recommend Smove.
Else, Tribecar is good enough.
